Anissa (Protocol)

General Formality
  • Although many creatures may share in like genetics with those humanoid, such as all mammals do, an Elvaen may only join into Anissa with another Elvaen, or fully sentient individual who is not held in design from the earth.
  • Those joining into Anissa must understand and share in the primary Elvaen belief system.
  • A trial period of two years must take place before an Anissa will be performed. During this period the two will share the same chateau and possessions.
  • Upon the completion of the Anissa, the two individual names will be joined into one.
  • An Anissa may be performed by a Spiritual Advisor, Sentry, Council member, or the one who is currently serving in the position of Royalty.
  • Anissa's are held during the Shasar Celebrations.
  • Those who are to join into an Anissa must undergo a stress test; blood, sweat, and tears, formality. Severity is an issue. Under not one instance or circumstance is this formality to be cruel or severe in nature; either physically, mentally, or emotionally. For some individuals, the three tests can be combined into one action and for others it may take up to, but no more than, three separate actions.

Multiple Anissa
Those who desire to join into multiple Anissa, must undergo the same formality for each individual who joins into the relationship; this is to say that, if there are four individuals in the relationship, this formality, as well as the stress test, will take place upon each individual four times, and in four separate events.

Records
  • The Anissa document(s) must be signed by both individuals joining within a relationship and by the one who performed the ritual, and by at least one witness.
  • One copy of the acknowledgment of the Anissa is to be held by the Local Council, one copy filed with the High Council, and a third copy is to be given to the two joined into Anissa immediately following the signing of the documents, which takes place following the stress test.
  • An Anissa maintains a document designed for two individuals only. If a group of people choose to join into an Anissa, multiple documents must be filed and maintained for each combination within the relationship.
  • Any dissolved Anissa will be removed from both the Local Council and High Council records.
How an Anissa may be Dissolved
  • An Anissa may be dissolved at anytime and by anyone within the relationship who is held in discontent.
  • The two individuals of any dissolved Anissa may not pass disparaging remarks concerning the other individual involved.
  • Those involved in a dissolved Anissa must immediately separate into different Chateaus and never to near the others thereafter for a period of two years.
An Anissa may be considered 'off' if these occur:
  • Using foods, drinks, items, costumes, or raiment, as any form of a symbolic representation.
  • Any gathering of family or friends 120 days immediately before the Anissa is to be held.
