Debe (Protocol)
Debe Represents A death of the body.
General Protocol
- A Tree of Life is held as a representation of those whose service lives on in the minds of Elvaen. It is the representation that while their body may have ceased working their spiritual energy lives on.
- This Tree of Life must be placed near the High Council and open for visitation for those requiring emotional comfort.
- The Council members are to each care for the Tree of Life according to schedules, knowledge, and understandings.
- If for any reason the Tree of Life begins to wane, it must be reduced to ash a placed into purified water and a portion of this mixture placed on the base soil of a new tree which has been held in dedication to take the failing trees place, becoming the communities new Tree of Life.
Upon the Passing from a Body:
In Order for the Kyto of the one who has passed, to gain the opportunity of continual spiritual motion, the following must be held in provision.
- Place the body of the deceased securely in quiet seclusion for a period of three days.
- Following the passing of three days, begin the body reduction cycle which may be various or specific, such as cremation.
- Follow by mixing the remains, which are freed of the larger pieces, with purified water.
- Pour a portion of the mixture onto the base of the tree of life, but not directly onto any part of the tree itself.
The Distribution of Possessions
Possessions remaining unsecured by the individual who has passed, will be held in division between those grieving, in this method. No individuals may claim any items without process.
- The Chateau of the deceased will go under possession of the High Council, where two Council and two Sentry will enter into thereof. The Sentry will stand guard and the Council will make notes and bundle the possessions securely.
- Method One: Those grieving will be given colored pebbles which are to be placed into a bag. For each person present there will be an equal number of black pebbles along with one red pebble. All pebbles must be accurate in shape and size to one another. For each of the possessions or bundles, a pebble must be drawn from a bag. Whoever receives the red pebble is the recipient of the item that is up for that drawing. In the event that the red pebble remains in the bag after all have drawn thereof, this object is up for the Local Council to determine its future placement, such as within the library, recycling, or to an individual who is missing the distribution.
- Method Two: Different colored pebbles may be assigned to each possession or bundle and pulled forward from within the bag, one from each individual present, including the Council itself, until all pebbles have been held in distribution.
Unusual Situations Found Within the Distribution of Possessions
- In the event that one of the grieving can't be present at the possessions ritual, one of the High Council members may stand in for the individuals turn at pulling forward of a pebble and hold any possession gained through this ritual. Also, in the situation that this stand in comes up with nothing, those items which came into the possession of the Council will be given over to this person.
- In the Event that only one or two of those grieving spent the majority of their time with the deceased during the final days with the exception of medical aid, and while others are nearby to place a claim to the same possessions, two pebbles may be placed within the bag and the one may draw twice for each possession. Also, in the event that the one or two individuals come up with nothing, those items that came into the possession of the Council will be given over to this person or people.
Follow Up
- To insure the security of possessions gained as well as the emotion support of those remaining, special attention must be set forward.
- Upon the passing of three full Lunas the High Council will enter each of the chateaus of those which held gain to the deceased possessions, to learn if the items have been dealt with appropriately. There is no room in Elvaen for overflow. Choices must have been made at this juncture. The Nexus and Collection must be orderly and the Chateau containing no extra weight. Emotional counseling may become necessary, though for no longer than two full years.
