Prerogative (Protocol)
Personal Freedom
This Prerogative Protocol is to illustrate individual freedoms to control their own body, as long as it doesn't step outside of the Elvaen Eprodex.
Suicide
If one is in a great deal of despair, permit this individual to make their life ending attempts to self without suffering Reprimand, though do what is possible to prevent such actions and also provide whatever help available to ease such future desires.
Suicide Aid
- Some individuals suffering physically are unable to perform their own suicide and may request aid from another.
- The one chosen to perform this task must be able to maintain calm in mind following such an action, and feel a sense of contentment for their Elvaen brethren as opposed to guilt or remorse.
Suicide Watch
- If a percentage of the population begin to end their lives over a period of five years, something has become wrong and should be held in immediate investigation and dealt with appropriately.
- Areas of interest include but are not held in limitation to, a genetic line, serious community depression or other illness, an over abundance of stress from an unusual source, or a specific career choice.
- Although many things may point to the Eprodex, alter nothing within.
- Chart the rates of suicides as it may also simply be a generational selfishness making their attempt at nonsense.
Children of the Ill
Occasionally a child will be born with an extremely low mental and/or physical developmental capability. These same children will grow into adult sized bodies and suffer greatly, not only do they suffer but also does the community absolute. These children are born with the explicit Prerogative to die, with calm of mind and body, and as performed by a Medic.
Guidelines for Medics
- These same children must have their disorder discovered by the age of three years.
- If for any reason three years have passed, no longer is this Prerogative upheld.
- When Scientifically advanced, attempt gene replacement therapy and more.
- All Medical and Scientific alternatives should be held in exhaustion when faced with this crisis, but not beyond the third year of the childs age.
Guardians of the Children of the Ill
- If there are noticeable developmental skills lacking, quickly remove the child from the present guardian with an explanation and place it with another guardian who has been made aware that there could be something medically wrong, but the child may just require a different approach to gaining development.
- The alternative guardian is to make extensive notes detailing daily actions or attempts thereof, along wit any noticable responses from the child.
