Sentry Games

The Sentry will hold hand combat games each year. These games are not mandatory for the Sentry personelle to take part in, but they are each encouraged to at the very least observe their colleagues. Participants must cooperate with the rules of the games as follows.
  • In any early rounds Participants will hold no items which could be used as weaponry during the games.
  • If it is determined that weaponry may make the games more difficult to 'all' involved, they may use such in the later rounds. Such weapons are to remain as staff and whip. No other weapons will be acceptable.
  • Any hand combat than ends in a death will disqualify the victor from the match, and will not be given permission to take part in the games for a period of five years, and will also bring into question as to if this individual should remain in service as Sentry.
  • Only two participants will step onto the platform together.
  • The first one to step off the platform, gives up, or is down for the count of 10, is considered defeated and out of the competition. The victor moves onto the next match up.
  • The final rounds will take place during the Shasar period and open to public observation. During this final event, there will be only eight competitors in all. This consists of the quarter finals, to the semi finals, and the the final itself.
  • During the Shasar portion of the competitions, there will be only three, twenty minute rounds, per set. If a victor of the match cannot be discovered through the guidelines provided above and within the time allotment, a referee and panel of three judges, may make a determination as to who will move on; this is true from the quarter final and semi final competitions. However, there will be no time limit on the very last match. That competition will continue until there is a 'clear' victor, provided in the earlier guidelines above.
  • The final victor of the games will be recognized as 'Head Sentry', and Head of the Sentry Class for the period of a year.

  • Those found to be causing any interference will be removed and no longer given permission to attend any games for a period of ten years, and then must gain Sentry Council permission.
Sentry Anissa Special Circumstances
  • Two Sentry who have attained Anissa may be as one in each life move they choose to make, but may find that scheduling causes a split time wise. This split may not be avoidable at all times. The Head Sentry will do whatever can be done to ensure the two in Anissa may have time off their details during the same rest periods.
  • A Sentry is in no manner held in limitation to join in Annisa with only those others serving as Sentry.
  • If one in the Sentry finds that they have in development a relationship moving toward an Anissa in a community which is not their base, they may trade with another Sentry member or put in for acceptance from the chosen community.
Scout Detail

All Sentry will serve on Scout Detail as arranged by scheduling, and only after having served in Senty Class for several years.
  • While on Scout Detail it is our nature to get distracted on available items. To negate the majority of distraction, pad Scout groups with one or more supply/scavenger Scouts while on lengthier treks.
  • Scavenger Scouts will be responsible for any pick up of unusual finds that may aide in the Scout trek and/or the Elvaen Community.
  • Supply Scouts will be responsible for distribution of, and noticing any, supplies that will aide in the trek at hand.
  • These details will be refined as necessary by the Sentry Council along side and filed with the High Council.
